1. Who this covers
This policy covers students (ages 14–18), parents and guardians, teachers, staff and volunteers, and visitors to abule.education, including our course platform, community spaces, application form and emails.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the school.
- Students: name, email address, date of birth, country and time zone, application answers, course enrollment, assignments, grades and attendance, and posts in the student community.
- Parents and guardians: name, email address, phone number, relationship to the student, chosen payment plan and records of communication.
- Teachers, staff and volunteers: name, contact details, credentials and, where required, background check confirmation.
- Payment details are entered directly with Stripe or ClassWallet. Abule does not store card or bank numbers.
3. How we use it
- To review applications and communicate with families.
- To create accounts, enroll students and run classes.
- To track progress and issue feedback and transcripts.
- To keep the student community safe and moderated.
- To provide support and improve the program.
We do not use personal information for advertising, and we never sell or rent it.
4. Student privacy laws
We protect the confidentiality of student records and follow applicable student privacy laws. Parents and students 18 or older can ask to see, correct or delete student records. Abule serves students ages 14 to 18 and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
5. Live classes and recordings
Live classes and clubs meet over video conferencing. Some classes may be recorded so enrolled students can review them. Recordings are available only to authorized users. Students may keep their camera off, or contact us about recording preferences.
6. Messages and community spaces
Messages and posts in our community spaces are not public, but administrators may review them when there is a concern about safety, bullying or rule violations.
7. Student work and photos
With permission, we may share student work or photos on our website, social media or newsletters. Students are not identified by full name without a parent’s consent. Families can opt out at any time.
8. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in and to make the site work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Service providers
We share limited information with providers that help us run Abule, such as our website host, payment processors (Stripe and ClassWallet), video conferencing and email. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections, password protection, limited staff access, regular backups and monitoring. No system is completely secure, and we keep our tools up to date to reduce risk.
11. Keeping and deleting information
We keep information as long as needed to provide education, meet legal obligations and maintain academic records such as transcripts. Families may ask us to delete accounts and personal information; we will do so unless the law or academic recordkeeping requires otherwise.
12. Families outside the United States
Abule’s systems are based in the United States. By using the Platform, you agree that your information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from yours.
13. Changes
When we update this policy, we will post the new version here and notify families of significant changes by email or on the Platform.
