These terms apply to abule.education, our course platform, our community spaces and the classes and services we provide (together, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Who we are
Abule is an online school for homeschooled students ages 14–18 and a program of Floating Freedom Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 33-2610751). We offer live and self-paced courses, an Independent Learning Project, community service, student-led clubs and a moderated student community.
2. Eligibility and enrollment
- Students must be 14 to 18 years old and accepted through our admissions process. A parent or legal guardian must apply with the student and consent to enrollment.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for accurate application information, for supervising their student’s use of the Platform and for paying tuition under the plan they choose.
- Teachers, staff and volunteers must be 18 or older and may be asked to complete verification or a background check, depending on their role.
3. Community standards
We keep a respectful, inclusive environment where students are free to disagree. By taking part, you agree to:
- Be respectful in every interaction, including when you disagree.
- Not use hate speech, discrimination, harassment or threats.
- Not impersonate others or misrepresent your connection to Abule.
- Follow the conduct expectations set by teachers and staff in classes, clubs and community spaces.
- Respect intellectual freedom, different perspectives and community standards.
Breaking these standards may lead to suspension or removal from the Platform.
4. Classes and content
- Access. Enrollment gives access to the enrolled student only. Course materials may not be shared outside Abule without written permission.
- Teacher materials remain the intellectual property of the teachers and guest instructors who created them unless otherwise noted.
- Student work belongs to the student. With permission, Abule may display selected work, with attribution, in newsletters, showcases or on our website. Families can opt out at any time.
5. Technology
- Do not attempt to hack, disable, overload or misuse any part of the Platform.
- Bots, unauthorized scripts and scraping of course content are not allowed.
- Families are responsible for a device and internet connection suitable for live classes.
6. Tuition and refunds
- Tuition for Spring 2027 is $3,000 a year, payable annually, quarterly ($750) or monthly ($250). Nothing is charged until a student is accepted. Payments are processed by Stripe, or through ClassWallet for families using Education Savings Account funds.
- Refunds are available during the first 14 days of a new term. Special circumstances may be considered case by case.
- Tuition is not transferable to another student.
7. Changes to the program
Abule may adjust courses, schedules, teachers and features as needed, and may update these terms. We will tell families about significant changes by email or on the Platform.
8. Suspension or termination
Abule may suspend or end access for repeated or serious violations of these terms, misuse of community features, failure to follow academic or conduct policies, or disruption of the learning environment. These decisions are made with care and fairness.
9. Outside links and services
The Platform may link to outside resources and uses third-party services such as video conferencing and payment processing. We are not responsible for the content or practices of other sites.
10. Liability
The Platform is provided as is. We work hard to provide an excellent education but cannot guarantee particular academic outcomes or admission to any institution. To the extent allowed by law, Abule and Floating Freedom Foundation are not liable for user misconduct or for outages beyond our control.
