📏 Length Guidelines

  • News Articles: 250-500 words
  • Feature Stories: 500-800 words
  • Opinion/Editorial: 300-600 words
  • Interviews: 400-700 words
  • Reviews: 300-500 words
  • Short stories: Up to 1,000 words

(These are suggested lengths – flexibility is welcome!)

Writing Guidelines

Use clear, concise language appropriate for your audience.

Include a compelling headline/title for your piece.

For news articles, answer the 5 Ws (Who, What, When, Where, Why).

Check spelling and grammar before submitting.

Include relevant details (event dates, contact information, etc.).

Avoid plagiarism – always cite sources and use your own words.

Etymology: From Yorùbá, echoing the traditional African philosophy of ubuntu—"I am because we are."
