About My Artwork

“This is a painting that I made during one of my last nights in my childhood home. It was in these moments that I wanted to capture some of the feeling that I loved of that time I spent there. The breeze from the town lake, the early morning light on Eid mornings after Ramadan, the smell of the freshly cut grass of the springtime when the cold slowly fades. These are things that I’m glad to have experienced and will keep with me for the rest of my life.”

Student Application Questions

What kind of impact do you want to make in your community or the world around you?

“An impact I want to make on the world around me is helping everyone know that they are not alone. Being lonely or alone is the most isolating feeling in the world. So many people struggle with it and feel as though they have no emotional connections and that no one understands them. The impact I want to make as a lawyer is fighting for every single person who seeks out my assistance, no matter who they are, what they fight for, or what they believe in. I want for anyone who comes into my life to never feel alone. Even if the world is against them, I want to be the only person still in their corner. And I want to do so for as long as I am alive.”

What are you most passionate about right now?

“If you ask anyone I know, they’ll tell you that I’m extremely extroverted. I love people and being around people all of the time. But in this crucial time of my emotional growth, I’ve been focusing on nurturing deeper connections rather than making new friends. I’m very passionate about working on better myself for the sake of other people, and myself. Growing deeper connections has helped me see life from a different perspective and navigate life more emotionally aware, and I now rather strive to more understand the people who make my life better.”

Student Application Questions

What kind of impact do you want to make in your community or the world around you?

“I’d like to spread more peace around the world. Although some might say it’s cliché, it’s heartbreaking to hear about so many suicides and shootouts around the world, especially in the United States. I would love for people to not be afraid of sending their kids to school because of the terrible things that occur way too often.”

What are you most passionate about right now?

“Right now I’m most passionate about singing, acting, and sports. When I sing on stage or act in a play, I feel free and happy. Sports, especially soccer, teach me to focus on the task at hand. If you can’t learn to focus with a crowd screaming at you, you’ll never make a goal.”
